Grok, Cursor and X Premium are now sold as one plan. SpaceXSI introduced The X Subscription on October 12, a single subscription that bundles the Grok chatbot, the Grok Bot agent, the Cursor coding app and X’s paid features, with one pool of AI usage shared between them. The headline tier, Premium, costs $30 a month and replaces three plans the company says used to cost $90 together.
The company announced it on X with a short video:
We've unified plans across Grok, Cursor, and X Premium.

Introducing The X Subscription.
Five tiers, from free to $200 a month
There are five plans, according to the announcement and the pricing page:
- Free ($0): daily Grok access, a starter allowance for Cursor’s coding agents and standard X.
- Plus ($8 a month): more Grok and Cursor usage, the Grok API, plus an X checkmark, creator tools, analytics and fewer ads. Recommended for “social creators with limited AI usage”.
- Premium ($30 a month): four times the usage of Plus, Grok Bot, the latest Grok models, image and video generation, Cursor’s cloud agents and code reviews, and mostly ad-free scrolling on X. The company says it includes the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+.
- Super ($100 a month): 15 times the Plus usage and priority access at peak times.
- Ultra ($200 a month): 50 times the Plus usage.
The $90 comparison adds up the old standalone prices: SuperGrok at $30, Cursor Pro at $20 and X Premium+ at $40. The company claims each new tier “provides more usage-per-dollar than the plan it replaces”, but it gives usage only as multiples of the Plus allowance, not as numbers of messages or coding requests, so that can’t yet be checked. Teams get Premium, Super and Ultra seats at the same prices, which it says undercuts the old Cursor Teams plan ($40 a seat) while including three times more coding usage.
One weekly pool, and a catch for Claude and GPT users
Every paid tier draws on a single allowance that covers Grok chat, voice, image generation, Grok Bot, the API and Grok models inside Cursor. It refreshes weekly, “so one heavy day never wipes out your whole month”, the pricing page says, and users can buy top-ups if they run out. Each plan includes at least twice as much coding usage with Grok models as the comparable Cursor plan, the company says.
The catch is other companies’ models. Cursor is widely used with Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s GPT models, and on the new plans those stay available only from Premium up, billed separately “at API list prices, through top-ups”. The self-serve plans include no allowance for third-party models at all. Spending caps are available. It is a notable shift for an app whose Grok Bot sibling, Elon Musk said last week, will use Claude whenever it beats Grok.
Existing subscribers can stay put
Nothing changes automatically for current SuperGrok, Cursor or X Premium customers. They can keep their current plan, price and features, or switch and get a prorated refund for the old one, with “limited-time offers” for switching shown in billing settings. The option is rolling out gradually, so not everyone will see it yet.
Where it’s available
The X Subscription is open to new customers now and will reach “everyone globally” over the next few days, the company says. Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes, so buyers in the UK, EU, Canada and Australia will pay VAT or GST on top. It is sold only directly; the company warns that accounts bought through resellers may be suspended. Enterprise customers get one dashboard and a shared usage pool for Grok and Cursor.
The launch comes days after Musk said SpaceXAI would rename itself SpaceXSI, and follows a run of Grok Bot features, from its own email address to paying creators for templates.
Why it matters
Bundling a social network checkmark, a chatbot and a professional coding tool into one bill is a bet that price will pull people into Grok over ChatGPT and Claude. Cursor users who rely on Claude or GPT get the cheaper headline price only if they move to Grok models, or pay extra at API rates on top.
