MadRobot is a news site. You don’t need an account to read it, and we don’t run ads or advertising trackers.
Reader polls
If you vote in a poll, we store your choice along with a random ID in a cookie, so each browser can only vote once. To limit spam, we also store a scrambled (hashed) version of your network address. We never store your actual IP address, and poll data isn’t used for anything except counting votes.
Settings saved in your browser
If you switch on dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser’s storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.
Hosting and fonts
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so reading MadRobot doesn’t connect your browser to any third-party font or advertising services.
