X is giving one Grok Bot user and a guest the chance to watch a Starship launch from the SpaceX Starbase house, and entries close on Tuesday. The Grok Bot Sharing Contest, announced by @grok on September 15, rewards people who share the bots they’ve built. Here’s what you can win and how to enter, according to X’s official rules.

What can you win?

There are ten prizes, according to the rules:

  • Grand prize (one winner): a trip for two to stay at the SpaceX Starbase house in Texas and watch a Starship launch, for at least two days and one night, with economy flights and up to five meals. X gives it an approximate value of $1,950.
  • First prizes (nine winners): a two-day, one-night trip for two to tour SpaceX’s rocket factory in Hawthorne, California, including flights, a hotel and a $50 ride-share gift card, valued at about $1,850 each.

How do you enter?

You need a paid Grok Bot account (Base, Plus or Heavy) or a Cursor account, a public X account, and to follow @grok and @bot. Then:

  1. Build a bot in Grok Bot.
  2. Quote-post the official announcement on X with a written description of what your bot does and a link to its shareable template, as @grok’s instructions explain.
  3. Get it in before 11:59pm Pacific time on Tuesday, September 29.

You can enter more than once, as long as each bot is different. Entries must be in English and can’t be edited once posted.

It’s only open to legal US residents aged 18 or over (or the age of majority where they live), in the 50 states and Washington DC, but not Colorado, Maryland, Nebraska or North Dakota.

How winners are picked

Popularity comes first. Each entry is ranked by how many unique Grok Bot users copy (or “clone”) its template within 14 days of it being posted. If there are more than 500 entries, only the 500 most-cloned go through to judging, which runs from October 14 to 20. X then scores them on four equal parts: clones, creativity, originality and “brand fit”. Winners should be picked around October 21.

That clone count is the same measure behind X’s new Grok Bot Template Rewards, which pays some creators when people use their templates. Either way, X is rewarding people for getting others to install bots.
