If you bought a recent iPhone expecting Apple’s smarter, AI-powered Siri, you may be owed some money. The claims website for Apple’s $250 million Siri settlement is now live, and eligible U.S. iPhone owners can file for up to $95 per device. Here’s whether you qualify and how to claim.

Why Apple is paying out

When Apple unveiled Apple Intelligence in June 2024, it showed off a personalized Siri that could understand what’s on your screen and take actions across your apps. Those features were advertised as coming to the iPhones on sale at the time, but they didn’t actually ship until June 2026, two years later.

A class-action lawsuit accused Apple of false advertising. Apple agreed to pay $250 million to settle, though it “denies all of the allegations made in the lawsuit,” according to MacRumors.

Are you eligible?

You qualify if you bought one of these iPhones in the U.S. between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025, for personal or business use (not for resale):

  • iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max
  • iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus or iPhone 16e
  • iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max

Each eligible phone counts separately, so if your household bought two qualifying iPhones, you can file two claims.

How much will you get?

The expected payment is about $25 per device. It could rise to as much as $95, or fall lower, depending on how many people file valid claims. The fewer claims there are, the bigger each payment.

How to file your claim

  1. Find your iPhone’s serial number. On the phone, go to Settings › General › About and look for “Serial Number.” Tap and hold it to copy it. No longer have the phone? The serial number is also printed on the original box.
  2. Go to the official settlement website: smartphoneaisettlement.com.
  3. Enter your contact details and the serial number of each qualifying iPhone.
  4. Add your Claim ID and PIN if you have them. Eligible customers should get an email with a Claim ID and PIN over the coming days, but you don’t need to wait for it: the site lets you file without one.
  5. Check your details and submit. File a separate claim for each eligible iPhone.

Be wary of emails or texts asking you to click through to “claim your Apple money.” Type the settlement address into your browser yourself rather than following links from messages you weren’t expecting.

Key dates

  • December 21, 2026: deadline to file a claim
  • February 24, 2027: final approval hearing, where the court will also decide on attorneys’ fees
  • After that: payments are expected to go out

So don’t expect the money before spring, but don’t miss the December deadline either.
