No, ChatGPT dots isn’t out in the UK or Europe yet, unless you use ChatGPT through work. OpenAI is rolling dots out to Pro subscribers everywhere except the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK, its help centre says, and it hasn’t given a release date for those countries.

Is ChatGPT dots available in the UK?
Not on a personal Pro plan. The UK is one of the three places OpenAI has left out of the Pro launch, along with the EEA and Switzerland. It doesn’t matter which Pro tier you pay for ($100, $200 or $500 a month): dots won’t appear.
The only way to get it in the UK right now is through a Business Premium workspace, or an Enterprise workspace where an admin has turned the beta on.
Is dots available in the EU and the rest of Europe?
No, not on Pro. That covers every EU country, including Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal and Austria, plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.
Pro users in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, Singapore and other countries where ChatGPT is supported are getting it, gradually.

When is the dots UK and Europe release date?
There isn’t one. OpenAI’s launch post says it plans “to expand dots to more users soon”, but it hasn’t said when UK or European Pro users will get it, or why they were left out. Strict data protection rules are the likely reason: dots read through the apps you connect and work in the background without being asked. Meta’s Muse agent was held back in the UK and Europe in the same way. We’ll update this page when OpenAI gives a date.
Can I get dots in the UK or Europe on Business Premium?
Yes. OpenAI says dots are available to Business Premium users “across all supported ChatGPT regions”, which includes the UK, the EU and Switzerland. Your first dot is included in the plan, and for the first month using it doesn’t count towards your allowance.
Can I get dots with a VPN?
OpenAI doesn’t offer any way round the restriction, and it hasn’t said how it decides which market your account is in. A VPN isn’t a supported way to get dots, and trying to get round regional limits could put your ChatGPT account at risk.
Dots not showing up in ChatGPT?
- You’re in the UK, EU or Switzerland on Pro: it won’t appear yet.
- You’re on Plus, Go or Free: dots need Pro or Business Premium.
- It hasn’t reached you yet: OpenAI says access “may take several days”.
- You’re on your phone: you have to create your dot on the ChatGPT desktop app or chatgpt.com on a computer first. After that it works in the mobile app.
